Instructions to order your Album and/or Artbook:

1. Go to our website www.amberconcept.com and sign in.

2. Click on this special link here (or copy and paste it into your browser): https://www.amberconcept.com/50-black-friday-holiday-sales

3. This page should pop up:

4. Proceed to checkout and follow the prompts to purchase.
5. Once you have completed your order, our team will review your order and all your spreads to ensure it will print properly. Once everything is good to go, it will take approximately 2 weeks for turnaround time, not including shipping and handling.

Note: December 3rd is the last day to have all orders to guarantee arrival before December 25th. December 5th will guarantee arrival before December 31st.

If you're using Pixellu® SmartAlbums® and designing an Amber Concept Artbook, we have one additional step you will need to do for your first and last half spreads before placing an order through Amber Concept's website.

Once you have completed your design in Pixellu® SmartAlbums® and exported your spreads in sRGB/RGB and JPG files, your first and last half spreads' sizes need to be adjusted so the width is slightly larger.

Here's how to adjust the First and Last spreads:

1. Bring your first and last spread into

or a third party software and adjust your first and last spreads with our custom sizing.

2. Depending on the size you designed, please find the exact size Artbook for First & Last Spreads (on the right hand side of the Design Template Size)

Design Template Size is located HERE from the directions on The Design Process.

3. For this example, we designed a 10"x10" Artbook. The first and last spread's Canvas size is 9.77" x 10.25". We brought this first spread into Photoshop, went to Image > Canvas Size, and are readjusting the canvas size to be 9.89" x 10.25".

Our first and last spreads are slightly larger by design so the pages can be bound properly. If you're using another third party software, please adjust the canvas size. When adjusting both the first and last spreads, please double check the sizing by looking at the Canvas Size again before saving.

4. Save your files! In Photoshop, go to File > Save As. Select your file directory, and then press Save. The JPEG Options window should prompt.

5. Export these files as a JPG with at a minimum 300dpi (RGB), by ensuring you select Image Option: 12 Maximum.

Your files should be ready to go! Log into www.amberconcept.com, select your Artbook and upload your spreads. If you have any questions, contact us at cs@amberconcept.com.

Note: This article is only for Pixellu® SmartAlbums® users that are making an Amber Concept Artbook. All Amber Concept Albums (starting with a full spread) do not need to follow this process.

Want to design an album with us, but not sure where to go for album design?

Check out our friends at fotofafa, they are the post-production experts and true lifesavers to album design. They are built by photographers for photographers and will not only help you save time but also help do some of the other tedious tasks (like album design) that we don't do on a normal basis.

When you create an album or artbook with us, before ordering, you will need to design your album.

First, you will need to pick whether you want to create an Album (layflat, thicker pages - starts with 10 full spreads, max 40) or an Artbook (magazine style, thinner pages, starts with 15 spreads, max 45 and has a 1/2 first and last HALF spread).

Once you have decided, then you will go to www.fotofafa.com and begin filling out the Album Design form:

You will then upload your photos and being the process with fotofafa. They will design for you and deliver it back in a proof, and you will either approve or write notes in the proof on how you'd like things adjusted. Even if you need to reach the fotofafa team, you can also leave notes in the proof.

Once you have approved the design, the team will send you a direct link to download your spreads. Tada!! Just like that, you have your fully designed album or artbook!

When you are ready to place an order with Amber Concept, you will then log into www.amberconcept.com, select the product you would like to order, fill out the order form, then upload all of the spreads fotofafa has designed for you.
